Queenscliff Harbour, Victoria
Fitted properly, or the propeller can't do its job.
A precision propeller on a worn taper or a misaligned shaft is money half-spent. Goaty's Marine runs the whole job from Shed 6 at Queenscliff Harbour — haul-out, survey, fit, align, sea-trial, numbers in hand.

The facility
The lift, the loft and the sea-trial water
Everything a propeller job needs sits within a hundred metres of Shed 6: the travel lift, the workshop benches, the alignment bay, and Port Phillip out the harbour entrance. This is what you're booking.
The 140-tonne Marine Travelift
The harbour's lift is steps from the workshop door — trailer-sailers to serious motor yachts, hauled, blocked and back in the water on the same tide when the job allows.
Full loft & workshop — Shed 6
A working marine-trades loft, not a service counter: benches, presses, lifting gear and the room to pull a shaft or strip a propeller properly, out of the weather.
Driveline & alignment bay
Taper and key inspection, cutlass bearings, seals, engine mounts, laser-checked alignment — and SigmaDrive or Autolock installs in the same haul-out.
The prop shop
Autoprop and Varifold strip-down, bearing service and re-grease, blade checks, re-balance and refurbishment — with factory-level work routed to Bruntons UK.
Corrosion testing
Reference-electrode surveys at the berth, anode strategy, and IonGuard installs — the service that catches the $40,000 problem while it's still a $40 one.
Sea trials on Port Phillip
Protected water minutes from the lift: WOT and cruise numbers logged before and after, so the improvement is measured, not remembered.
On the hard
The lift that changes what's possible
Most propeller suppliers post you a box. At Queenscliff, the haul-out, the survey, the fitting and the sea trial are one booking in one place.

One hundred metres
from slings to workbench to sea trial. That's why fittings here come back with numbers, not excuses.
What a fitting involves
- Haul-out on site — the harbour's 140-tonne travel lift handles anything from trailer-sailers to serious displacement cruisers and motor yachts.
- Drivetrain survey before anything is fitted — taper and key condition, cutlass bearing, seal, engine mounts, alignment. If something else is stealing your performance, you'll know before we bolt on bronze.
- Fit, lap and torque to the shaft or saildrive, anodes installed, blade movement checked and greased.
- Sea trial with numbers — WOT rpm, cruise rpm vs speed, and fuel flow where instrumented. Your before/after becomes part of the evidence library (with your OK).

- SigmaDrive and Autolock installs happen in the same lift.
- Sea trials run on Port Phillip, weather permitting.
- Corrosion survey while she's out — why it's worth it.
