Autoprop · Varifold · SigmaDrive — sized in Australia

The right propeller changes everything about your boat.

Fewer revs. Less fuel. More sail speed. Sized for your exact boat from 11,353+ documented fitments — and verified by a propeller engineer before we supply anything.

Documented across 11,353 fitments for builders including Beneteau, Jeanneau, Bavaria, Amel, Oyster, Moody, Dufour, Leopard, Lagoon, Hanse, Hunter, Fountaine Pajot, Catalina, Westerly — and tested by Yachting Monthly, Voile Magazine, Seil and Vela e Motore.

See it on your numbers

Same boat. Same speed. Four hundred fewer revs.

Drag the cruise line and watch the gap. This is the moment owners describe after the swap — the boat settles, the noise drops, and the fuel flow follows.

  • Independent bench test: 6 knots at 2,100 rpm with Autoprop vs 2,500 rpm with the standard propeller.
  • Blades pitch themselves to the load — motoring, motor-sailing, punching a headwind or running downhill.
  • Every recommendation is checked against your engine, gearbox and aperture before anything is supplied.

Vibration, noise, alignment trouble?

Sometimes the fix isn't the propeller — it's the driveline.

The SigmaDrive constant-velocity coupling absorbs up to 3° of shaft misalignment, killing the vibration a new prop alone can't. Toggle the model to its working angle and watch what the double ball-race does — the engine and shaft stop arguing.

  • Absorbs up to 3° misalignment
  • Takes the thrust load off the gearbox
  • Fits shafts 20–70 mm, no realignment

Every claim on this site traces to a named test or a documented owner result — these are from the press file, mastheads and all.

How far 10 litres takes you at 6 knots

Measured
Derived from the Voiles fuel figures at 6 knots (10 L ÷ L/h × 6 kn)

Crash stop from 6 knots — seconds to stationary

Measured
Bruntons test programme, published in the Autoprop brochure

Our tests show the Autoprop achieved 6 knots at 2100 rpm compared to 2500 rpm for our standard prop and most of the others on test.

YachtingMonthlyYachting Monthly · 12-propeller comparative test

The qualities of the Autoprop make it perfect for long distance cruising. It ranked first for consumption at cruising speed.

Voile MagazineVoile Magazine · Sun Odyssey 34.2 trials, April 2009

At RPMs up to 2000 no other propeller can beat the Autoprop, it clearly gave more speed.

SEILSeil · Norwegian comparative test

A phenomenon across all speeds is the Autoprop. An excessive amount of engine power is always available, because this propeller comes up with optimum efficiencies at any speed.

De YachtDe Yacht Magazine

Certainly one of the most interesting propellers in our survey. It demonstrated good speeds under all conditions.

VELA e MOTOREVela e Motore

I can highly recommend Autoprop propellers to all sail boat owners who want the very best performance under power and sail.
