Privacy policy

Short version: we collect what's needed to size your propeller and answer you, we don't sell it, and marketing is strictly opt-in.

What we collect and why

When you send an enquiry — via the Prop Builder, a contact form, email or phone — we collect the details needed to assess and answer it: your name, contact details, postcode, and the technical information about your boat and drivetrain that you provide (including any photos you upload or email). This is collected because propeller sizing requires it, consistent with Australian Privacy Principle 3 (collect only what is reasonably necessary).

How it's used

  • To prepare and verify your recommendation and quote.
  • To route your enquiry to Goaty's Marine (the Australian & New Zealand agent) and, where needed, Bruntons Propellers Ltd engineers, who may contact you about it.
  • To maintain our fitment records — the engineering history that makes accurate sizing possible. Published fitment data is aggregated by boat model and never identifies owners.

Marketing is separate

Enquiry replies are not marketing. We only send newsletters or promotional material if you separately opt in, every such email identifies us and carries a working unsubscribe, and unsubscribe requests are actioned within five working days — per the Spam Act and ACMA guidance.

Storage, access and correction

Enquiry data is stored with reputable providers and access is limited to the people who handle your enquiry. You can request a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we must keep) by emailing [email protected].

Cookies & analytics

This site runs without advertising trackers. Anonymous, aggregated analytics may be used to understand which tools and pages help owners; nothing in that data identifies you.
