Autoprop H5
The Autoprop most cruising yachts wear: three blades, eleven diameters, shafts to 1½ inches. The majority of the 11,000+ fitments in our database are H5s.
From a Bavaria 38's Volvo MD2030 to a Beneteau Oceanis 46's Yanmar, the H5's diameter ladder (330–506 mm) and 20–35 mm shaft range covers the heart of the 30–45 ft cruising fleet.
Three blades give the H5 the blade area to convert modest power into real thrust at displacement speeds — which is exactly where the self-pitching action pays: fewer revs at cruise, proper engine loading when motor-sailing, and full-face reverse.
